2009 Heisman Preview

I have recently published the chances for this year's Heisman Trophy. Many of you know this year's "Big Three" quarterbacks triumvirate, which last year's winner Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, 2007 winner and Florida Gator Tim Tebow and Texas Star quarterback Colt McCoy has. One of those three will probably win, but what fun at the bets on one of these favorites? With Tebow's favorite at 2-1, and McCoy and Bradford each at 3-1, there is not much potential for cashin.

For my money, I'm going to look at the next group of candidates. My sleep is to get USC all-purpose back Joe McKnight, which reminds me of former winner Reggie Bush. McKnight still flying under the radar despite his great talent. Last year, a bit of a disappointment for McKnight was when he was finished with a mediocre 659 yards on 89 carries and 3 fell touchdowns. He added, 21 catches for 193 yards and a touchdown in the air. Given his talent and the rate of 30-1, he isWorth betting on any event.

Another one of my picks is Ole Miss quarterback Snead Romaniote. These hyped quarterback originally went to Texas, where he refused to first job by Colt McCoy. He then transferred Ole Miss and flourished in the past year down the track under coach Houston Nutt. Snead finished with 2762 yards with 26 touchdowns, 13 interceptions and a 56.3% completion percentage. At 15-1, is another good sleeper snead pluck.

My lastSleeper Pick California running back Jahvid Best is. For those of you who have never heard of this man, be ready to be presented to him this season. The best way is the best athlete in college football and runs the 40 yard dash in the 4.2 range. If Best can improve on last year's figures from 1580 meters to 194 leads with 15 touchdowns, he is doing a serious contender for one of the big three. While not as good chance as my other two thresholds, Best is an excellent pick at10-1.
