Tiger Woods, the Greatest Ever? -NOT!

Tiger is great, but still a long way from claiming the title of "greatest ever to play The Game." Although I do not think he is more than on the way to say that illustrious title, God willing. But until then, Slammin 'Sammy Snead is my pick. That's right, not even Nicklaus.

If you look at the 11 win gap between Jack's total of 70 victories and Sam 's 81 and FIG Sam' s total of 165 victories, he says, no one even close. SorryJack. Now figure in the shape of the courses today, equipment, and the intensity of competition and there is no doubt that Sammy is the man. Remember, playing against Sam, Byron Nelson and Ben Hogan - all born the same year - they were regarded as the era of the "Big Three". Hogan gained a total of 63 victories, and Nelson won 52, both of them in the top 5 of all time winners list. Does anyone really know what Tiger's best competition today, will end up in theillustrious group? I think not.

Static whole, but there is a large gap between the top of the list of winners of all time, not even the great Walter Hagen bridges. Hagen, 7 Place with 40 victories, is eleven years after the 6th Placeholder, Billy Casper. Eleven wins is a whole career even a great player on the tour today. Again, I ask you, are the gap between the number 2 on the list, Jack Nicklaus and number 1, Sam Snead, eleven victories.

Even if youvehement "Tigernite or Nicklaus groove, you acknowledge includes the all time golf's elite, very few, 6 to be exact: Sam Snead, Jack Nicklaus, Ben Hogan, Arnold Palmer, Byron Nelson and Billy Casper. And Billy Casper gets my vote for the greatest player with the least recognition, by far.

Now I'll really tick from Tigernites. My money says he never arrives. (But I'm not betting the really big money) Why? I think he runs out of desire. The bigger he gets, the closer he gets, the more he wins, will ever build up more pressure. Has he ever shown any weakness, it is his temperament, which is sometimes the best of it. While the pressure to mount, and with the glare of the media from today it will, I think that the pressure sooner or later take him down. No, I'm not ahead, he will go "postal" and throw a camera in a lake with the owner, still in it, but I think the "fire in the belly" cents. And if I'm right, itis a travesty to lose, not the greatest that ever played, but one of the largest that could overthrown "have the" Greatest player that ever lived, Sam Snead!

Only time will tell!
